Stripes of gold
About the image
This photograph wasn’t a rare sighting or something unexpected. It was simply a moment of enjoying nature and appreciating what was happening around me. The light was stunning, creating a beautiful golden glow, and the conditions just came together perfectly. What drew me to take the photograph was not the rarity of the zebra, but the way the light transformed an otherwise ordinary sighting into something special. It reminded me that wildlife photography isn’t always about searching for the next big sighting or the Big Five. Sometimes, it is about slowing down, enjoying being outdoors, and appreciating the smaller moments that are easily overlooked.

About the photographer
My love for photography started with a simple appreciation for being outdoors and discovering things that are often overlooked or not appreciated as much as they should be. I enjoy photographing wildlife of all sizes, from the smallest birds and the intricate details of their feathers to large animals in their natural surroundings. For me, being behind the camera is about slowing down and noticing the little things that others might miss. I love being outside, exploring, and never knowing what I might come across. Under the right conditions, I’ll happily photograph almost anything if it catches my attention. There is something special about being outdoors with a camera, and for me, there is never really a bad day when I’m out looking for something to capture.
