5-Year Showcase Gallery

Young Wildlife Photographers of Southern Africa’s 5-Year Showcase is a curated wildlife photography gallery exhibition celebrating five years of youth creativity, conservation storytelling and photographic growth.

Hosted in collaboration with Outdoorphoto, this showcase brings together the work and voices of young wildlife photographers from across Southern Africa, offering them the opportunity to have their images displayed in a professional gallery-style setting. Each photograph represents more than a single wildlife encounter. It reflects patience, observation, passion, learning and the unique way in which young people are choosing to see and share the natural world.

Since its founding, YWP has grown from a small youth photography space into a wider community of young wildlife photographers, birders and conservation-minded creatives. This exhibition marks an important milestone in that journey, celebrating not only the images themselves, but the young photographers behind them and the stories they are beginning to tell through their work.

More than a photography exhibition, the 5-Year Showcase highlights the role that young people already play in observing, documenting and speaking up for the natural world.
