The Python and the Jackal
About the image
We stumbled across jackals dragging a python along the grass. As we got closer we realised the python had one jackal in its clutches. We were able to observe the entire heartbreaking, yet unique experience of the python killing and eating the jackal, all while a butterfly perched on it the entire time

About the photographer
I have loved animals since I was small. As I got older, watching my father photographing wildlife, I realised I wanted to try. I picked up an old camera and started going around photographing nature and animals. It became a passion. I love photographing any animal: on land or underwater, small or large. I feel that I get more connected to the animal through the lens. I take the time to observe every detail, every behaviour, every magical moment.

CONSERVATION MESSAGE
Wildlife is precious, delicate, and extremely vital on this planet. It is important to conserve and protect all species as they make up an intricate ecosystem that ultimately benefits all. Remember the world is not just about the human race, it is much bigger than that.
