The Aloe Seeker
About the image
I visited the drakensberg in June this year. I woke up in the morning and found some aloes in next to a hiking trail. I spent some time there throughout the days I visited and the Gurney's sugarbirds were enjoying their time in the area moving around the aloes. It is really special to see as the colours and the lighting make this image unique and memorable to me.

About the photographer
I have always been interested in nature since I was little. My grandmother is a SAN Parks honorary ranger, so she used to take me out in nature whenever she could when I was younger. Eventually, I only invested my time into birding and photography when I was about 12. I mainly photograph birds as it gives me a sense of excitement and passion when I'm out in the field. There is something about being in nature and taking photos that gives me no other feeling in the world. It gives me a true sense of peace.
PHOTOGRAPHER'S QUOTE
Nature is an endless tunnel waiting to be explored.
